At Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi the morning begins with this philosophy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Here students are encouraged and prepared to participate fully, take risks, be self-advocates, and create lasting memories and relationships with their peers and staff.
At Vikas Vidyalaya learning is a celebration, I am proud to be the Principal of Vikas Vidyalaya which has nurturing educators, caring staff and wonderful students who are very important parts of the “Vikas Family.”
To quote Socrates, “I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think,” If we think if we make up our minds and stay decided, success is sure to come. As said, the past is history, the future is a mystery. The present is a present. So we must fully utilize the gift (present) and aim high in life to become the best. We must know what we want in life. If we do not know what we want, the question of getting it does not arise at all.
We must, therefore, have a goal and “Forge Ahead” to realize it. The waves forge ahead to touch the shore, The rains forge ahead to reach the land, the birds to fly in the sky, We forge ahead to empower women, through educating all. We forge ahead to build a strong character by blending culture and modernity, for peace and a purposeful life. We forge ahead to create an ambience contributing to a healthy education that nurtures a positive outlook that is morally becoming a global citizen with Indian values.
The aim of education is knowledge, not facts, but values. We endeavour towards a value-based learning environment where the children are determined to follow good and avoid evil. Our 21st-century learners need the perfect blend of technology with our traditions and culture. Therefore, at Vikas, we use the latest technology without compromising our traditions and culture.
We also take care of attitudes, competencies, and skills and the FOCUS is placed on making the students ambitious holistic individuals with sound character and well-groomed personalities – striving for EXCELLENCE in all spheres of life.
